Office Assistant for Environemental Genomics needed in the Sunday Lab!
Interested in getting to know how research is conducted at McGill? Have strong organizational skills and want to apply them to improve a project? The Sunday Lab is seeking an office assistant to help coordinate and manage our environmental DNA-related projects. The assistant would coordinate project meetings and communicate with external project member, assists in the preparation of reports to Genome Canada, tabulate research costs for reporting (and this will be used in our research output to understand the costs and benefits of eDNA), coordinate shipping of materials, order research materials, maintain and update project website, and other clerical duties.
The position is 10 hours a week from April to December, 2024.
Preference will be given to candidates who have and interest in marine ecology or biodiversity science, strong coordinating skills, service-orientated with a proven ability to listen and assist a variety of project members, ability to maintain good records with attention to detail, and who are studying in a relevant discipline at McGill University.
